Rebecca Bowden

Chief Deputy Rebecca L. Bowden

Rebecca is the Chief Deputy for Precinct 1 Constable's Office. She began her law enforcement career in 1981 as a Dispatcher for Lamar University Police Department. In 1982 she became a Beaumont Police Officer and in 1986 she was hired by the then interim Constable Marie Rollins. She was promoted to Chief Deputy by Constable Wiggins in 2005.

Rebecca has a Bachelors Degree of Applied Arts and Sciences from Lamar University and she holds her Master Peace Officers Certificate and the Civil Process Proficiency Certificate. She has also been awarded the Academic Recognition Certificate by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. Also, she holds a TCLEOSE Instructors License and has taught in local police academies for the past 11 years and is an Instructor for the Texas Justice Court Training Center out of San Marcos, Texas.

In her spare time Rebecca likes to read, garden, and travel. She enjoys spending time with her 3 sons and 2 grand children.
