INVESTIGATION SECTION - Investigators with the Criminal District Attorney's Office are certified Texas State peace officers with the same enforcement and arrest powers as any other peace officer. They work with area law enforcement agencies investigating major cases involving homicide, drug crimes, economic crimes and public corruption. They also work with prosecutors preparing cases for trial by locating and interviewing witnesses, securing evidence, and testifying in court. They also investigate cases on behalf of the grand jury.
