INTAKE
DIVISION
- is where all of the criminal cases which are prosecuted by this
office begin. Cases are submitted to this office for review by the
various local, state and federal agencies operating in Jefferson
County. A legal sufficiency determination is made by the intake
attorney as to whether or not probable cause exists to pursue formal
criminal charges.
